William Romary is a Sovereign Research Analyst on Lazard's Emerging Markets Debt team. He began working in the investment field in 1992. Prior to joining Lazard in 2015, William was an Executive Director and Senior Sovereign Analyst at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management Inc., where he focused on Latin America and helped to manage a portfolio that was named Fund of the Year in 2010, 2011, and 2012 by Morningstar Japan. The portfolio was also identified as one of the three best-managed global emerging market bond funds in 2011 by The Financial Times. William previously served as a Director and Senior Economist at UBS Securities where he conducted economic analysis on Latin America. He has also worked at Lehman Brothers, Bank of Boston, and the Royal Bank of Scotland. William has a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University and a BA in Political Science and Spanish Literature from the University of California, San Diego. He is also an FSA Credential Holder.
