Eduardo Atehortua is an Executive Fellow and the Director of the ESG Initiative at the Emerging Markets Investors Alliance.
Eduardo has a keen interest in promoting responsible and impact investing in Latin America. Eduardo began his career at Deloitte where he helped create their division focused on sustainability and climate change services. Previously he was Director for Latin America at the Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI). During this period, he supported more than 100 funds in the region to develop strategies that allow them to incorporate Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria in their investment decision-making. Eduardo then rejoined Deloitte, where he is currently a Partner, focusing on sustainability and climate change consulting.
Eduardo has a bachelor's degree in economics and geopolitics at the EAFIT University in Medellín. He has a master's degree in sustainable development and corporate responsibility from the School of Industrial Organization (EOI), Madrid, Spain.
