Akbar Causer is a vice president of Eaton Vance Management and emerging market corporate credit strategist on Eaton Vance’s global income team. He is responsible for analyzing corporate credit investment opportunities across emerging and frontier markets. Akbar began his career in the industry in 2005 and joined Eaton Vance in 2017. Before joining Eaton Vance, he was a senior analyst at DDJ Capital Management. Previously, he worked in private equity at Littlejohn & Co. and as an investment banking analyst at Rothschild, Inc. His emerging market experience includes an interim CFO role at an agribusiness in Kenya and as a TMT analyst at Temasek, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund. Akbar grew up in Pakistan and earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
