Abel Bayene is the Director of Policy and Development at EMIA.

Abel has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, including equity research with financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, Thomas Weisel Partners, and Wells Fargo, where he was a publishing analyst covering a technology sub-sector. As a member of GE Capital's Sovereign Risk Management team, Abel covered emerging markets including EMEA and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Abel received his B.A. in Economics from Baruch College and his M.A. in International Relations from Seton Hall University.
